Winter is for warm breakfasts. Don’t even think about a cold smoothie (although a room temp smoothie is a-ok in my book) or anything chilled. When I think of my favorite winter breakfasts I think more of a warming breakfast bowl.
What’s in my ideal breakfast bowl?
- Healthy Fat
- Complex Carbs including VEGGIES!
And equally important is to ask yourself, “What am I craving? What is going to taste good while still giving me what I need for my day?”

WILD RICE & VEGGIE BREAKFAST BOWL with a CRISPY EGG
Wild Rice + Roasted Sweet Potatoes + Roasted Broccoli + Crispy Egg (over medium is my favorite)
HUEVOS RANCHEROS BREAKFAST BOWL
Polenta + Black Beans + Egg + Avocado + Salsa (red or green) + Cilantro
Chicken + Chicken Broth + Carrots, Onions, & Celery + Parsley
